Creamy Cheesy Chicken and Broccolli Casserole

I know my website name says ‘beauty’ but I just can’t help but add a few random posts here and there.

Today, I bring you this cheesey chicken & broccoli casserole I made and it is just oh so good. It’s not only super easy to make but it’s tasty, too. I don’t know if it’s healthy or how unhealthy it is… I want to convince myself that it’s not that bad. Yep. It isn’t that bad.

I mean, how good does that look! Even before I baked it everything already looks good – they just go so well together.

Here is what you need to make this delish dish!

2 cups of diced rotisserie chicken (or any cooked chicken)
2 cups broccoli florets
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 cups cooked rice
1.5 cup shredded cheese
1/2 cup mayo
1/2 to 3/4 cup crush corn flakes
2 tbsp butter, melted

Pre-heat oven to 350 deg
Mix all ingredients in a baking dish (9×13) except corn flakes and butter.
Sprinkle crushed corn flakes over top and drizzle melted butter
Bake in 350 deg for 30-35 mins.
& done 🙂

Review: Benefit Roller Lash

A couple of weeks ago, I got my hands on this bad boy. It is Benefit Roller Lash mascara that launched maybe over a month ago. I was a little bit skeptical on this because (don’t roll your eyes on me) I wasn’t a big fan of the They’re Real. It wasn’t thick enough for me and it weighed my lashes down after a couple hours.

When I purchased this though, I was excited! It literally made my lashes look longer and thicker and I didn’t even have to curl my lashes. So the specs, it has a really cute packaging; a lot cuter than They’re Real. Pink/peachy handle for the applicator and it has a rubber-y feel to it. The applicator has a bent shape to it making it easier to apply on the edges of the lashes; the bristles are actually very similar to They’re Real. It definitely holds the curl a lot longer than any mascara I have owned. I noticed too that it doesn’t rub off on my lower lashes as well even after a long day. Just because it holds my lashes curled all day, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a pain in the ass to remove. I’m really impressed. For $24 at either Ulta or Sephora, you get a tube with .3 oz which is the typical amount you get from a mascara tube.

Like what! How insane is that? I knew how great this mascara was but never actually took a picture of it up close. I am in love with it even more! The price (for me, at least) is a little bit on the pricey side but I think it is worth it. You get the most out of your money!

What is your favorite mascara at the moment?

So, listen…

Let me tell you my story… MAC has always intimidated me until one day I decided I will brave it. I went to the MAC counter at Nordstrom at my local mall and I knew I wanted to purchase a few things for the first time! Luckily, one of the girls working there actually went to my high school and she was really helpful (shoutout to Farhat!!). After trying on a few products on me, I decided that I needed eyeshadows to start with and a couple good brushes.

I decided to go for Saddle, Embark and All That Glitters. I know, great choice! The first lipstick that I bought was High Tea and the brushes… well, 217, 252 and 150. Yasss! I made great choices. Ever since then, I was hooked! That’s pretty much how my collection started.

I realized that if I only saved a couple more bucks and buy high(er) end products, I’d be getting the bang out of my buck. I am not saying that drugstore products are not worth it… in fact, a couple of my holy grails are from the drugstore. I guess what I am trying to say is that don’t let the higher prices intimidate you, or the girls that are all dolled up in the store – they are friendly and most of the time helpful. So go and walk in there and have fun!

P.S. One of my first makeup tutorial will be based on the products mentioned above.

Stay tuned!
